Langridge manufactures a range of decorative finishes for the antiquing of objects.
Rust & Verdigris bases allow anyone to convert surfaces & objects into genuine antique metal finishes. For interior and exterior application. Water based acrylic-styrene binder gives the paint excellent weather resistance in outdoor application.
Rust & Verdigris Application Guidelines:
• Prepare surface to be painted with water-based acrylic emulsion sealer, dependent on substrate characteristics.
• For metal substrates, an anti-rust metal primer is recommended.
• Apply Oxidising Patina in temperatures between 16-32 degrees Celcius.
• Wash up brushes and tools with warm water. Do not let paint dry on equipment.
• Langridge Rust and Verdigris bases do not need sealing, although Langridge Patina Sealer can be applied for heavy duty protection.
Rust Base
Creates genuine rust finishes on any surface.
Easy to use iron based paint used with Patina Activator for the transformation of objects and furniture. Simply paint on 2 coats of Rust Base and apply Oxidising Patina. The period the surface is kept damp after application of patina the stronger the final effect. (Iron Powder, Acrylic-Styrene Copolymer, Ethyl Cellulose, Carbon Black)

Verdigris Base
Creates genuine verdigris finishes on any surface.
Easy to use brass based paint used with Patina Activator for the transformation of objects and furniture. Simply paint on 2 coats of Verdigris Base and apply Oxidising Patina. The period the surface is kept damp after application of patina the stronger the final effect. (Brass Powder, Acrylic-Styrene Copolymer, Ethyl Cellulose, Carbon Black)

Can also be applied to Imitation Gold Leaf, Copper Leaf, bronze, brass or copper objects to create genuine antique metal finishes.
